Lift Surveys
Ascension Lift Solutions offer a range of lift surveys, lift audits and technical audits which will cover just about anything you need to know about your lifts. A lift survey can give you the complete picture or look at specific areas or both. There could be specific reasons you may want a lift survey. Such as:
• Asset management, which includes condition surveys and audits as listed below
• Pre-acquisition of a building, vendors’ survey or proposed sale
• Dilapidations survey or audit, this could be for a managing agent or lift owner to assess costs on handover
Lift Audits
Ascension Lift Solutions provides independent audits that can be used to check the following critical items when managing a lift portfolio, such as:
- Advise on site information required to keep the lift reliable and to reduce downtime
- A comprehensive review of planned maintenance work carried out by the lift contractor in line with BS EN13015
- Review of LOLER defects.
- Survey/Inspection of the current condition of your lifts.
- Assessment of defects and ongoing operational faults.
- A review of items reported by your lift maintenance provider which require remedial works.
- The audit will include a review of health and safety works based upon BS EN81-80, (bringing older lifts to a modernised standard)
- Assessment of the longevity and lift cycle along with recommendations for replacement.
- Or to follow guidance under HTM08-02 which is designed to be used in healthcare environments.
Following a survey/audit, we provide our client with a comprehensive record for each lift recording the findings of the survey.

Technical Audits And Resolutions
Ascension Lift Solutions has a vast knowledge on all types of lift equipment across the industry from Otis, Kone, Schindler and many third party makes which some lift companies can find problematic. Depending on the design and type, some lift faults can be extremely difficult to resolve, or identify the route cause. Using our industry knowledge, and working with the lift provider, we can assist in resolving these troublesome faults or provide advice on the best action required.
